Terms & Conditions for Ski Trips with 47North to the Alps


The purchase of Travel Services offered by 47North Adventures, LLC, also known as 47North, constitutes a contractual arrangement between you (the traveler) and 47North, and represents your acceptance of the Terms and Conditions described herein.


47North Adventures, in Rome, NY limits participation to anyone 18 years of age or older, unless accompanied by a legal guardian.

Reservations and Deposits

A deposit of $500, payable to 47North Adventures, is required to make a reservation for a 47North excursion. At this time excursions are limited to 30 persons; so reservations should be made as soon as possible. The deposit will be applied to the trip cost. Deposits can be transferred to other ski trips during the same season. After 90 days prior to the start of the trip, cancellation fees will apply. 47North Adventures accepts personal checks, PayPal bank transfers, Venmo, and Bank to Bank Transfers for deposits.

Ski and Snowboard Rental

Snowboard and ski trips offered by 47North include rental of VIP ski and snowboard equipment, excluding boots and helmets. There will be an added charge to rent those items. A participant can elect to bring their own equipment but will be responsible for excess airline baggage fees and any additional costs that may occur. Trip costs do include depoting of equipment at the resort.


47North assumes no responsibility or liability for any loss or damage of personal effects or for any injury or loss during the duration of our guided tours. 47North also assumes no responsibility for any personal expenses, such as airline tickets, as a result of a trip cancellation by an individual. 47North does not provide health/accident or travel insurance directly for the participant. We do recommend that participants obtain travel insurance and will facilitate purchase of such upon request. Travelers are also strongly advised to check with their health care insurer to verify coverage for medical expenses while overseas. Medicare does not provide coverage overseas.


47North will not assume responsibility for any agency or person who fails to provide contracted services for any of its ski trips. In such an event, alternate services will be sought. 47North also assumes no responsibility for lost or stolen items during the course of a trip. 47North reserves the right to cancel a trip for a participant at any time during the course of the trip.

Payment of the Trip Balance

A second payment of at least $500 is required prior to 1 October of the year piror to a trip. Participants may elect to make additional partial payments at their convenience. The balance of payment is due 45 days prior to the start of a trip. 47North accepts personal checks, PayPal, Venmo, Google Wallet, Zelle, and Bank to Bank Transfers for payments. Credit card payment, including PayPal credit transactions, are accepted, but do incur a 3% fee.  47North does not guarantee your reservation if we do not receive your deposit or final payment on time.

Price Fluctuations and Trip Termination

Prices may vary due to currency fluctuations, final airfares negotiated, and city of origin of traveler. 47North reserves the right to cancel a tour due to lack of participation. In this unlikely situation, a 100% refund of all payments made up to that date will be made to all registrants.


All cancellations by participants must be submitted in writing by mail, email or fax. Cancellation fees will be charged based on individual circumstances and the date of receipt of the cancellation notice. Cancellation fees will be assessed as follows:

       90+ days prior to trip start             $100 fee *

       89-30 days prior to trip start          $100 fee * + 40% of the room cost

       29-7 days prior to trip start            $100 fee * + 70% of the room cost

       <7 days prior to trip start                $100 fee * + 90% of the room cost 

* airfare paid minus a change fee will be refunded by the airline

47North reserves the right to cancel a tour due to lack of participation. Such decision will be made prior to 90 days from the scheduled trip start. In this unlikely situation, a 100% refund will be made to all parties already registered. 

If a trip must be cancelled due to circumstances beyond the control of 47North, a full refund of all funds not already obligated to a contracted service provider will be made. Any funds subsequently returned by such provider will also be refunded to the traveler.

No refunds will be made for a cancellation during the course of any snowboard or ski trips, nor for unused portions of the trip. All snowboard and ski trips begin on the start date of the trip. Trip cancellation insurance is highly recommended.
